FAQ

Everyone has questions and this page contains some of those that we’re most frequently asked. If your question isn’t among them, get in touch, we’ll be more than happy to answer

What are this week’s winning lottery numbers?

Sorry, if we knew, we’d tell you – honestly we would!

When and where are you meeting?

Every Sunday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm at Stark Park, 550 River Rd, Manchester, NH 03104, by the gazebo.

Look for a circle of friends with beach chairs, picnic blankets and probably a guitar.  Just come and join in.  You’re invited.

What type of church are you?

We are associated with the Episcopal Church of New Hampshire

We are a traditional Christian church that meets in a non-traditional ‘dinner church’ format.

We provide dinner.  You are invited.  Join in.

One of our leaders will read a Jesus story and you can join in the discussion at your table, if you’d like to.

That’s it!

Are you meeting online?

Because we are a circle of people becoming friends, we prefer to meet in person, so long as the health restrictions allow. That’s why we meet outdoors.

We do also try to stream our gathering on Facebook Live at our facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/ChristTheWayNH

Are children welcome?

Yes, we love children of all ages – babies to young adults.

We do not provide separate programming for our children – it’s a family-all-together approach.

We are developing take-home content for parents to help their children grow in faith and understanding all week long.

We don’t mind noise, interruptions or messes.

The children are an integral part of our church. Bring what you need to keep junior happy and we will welcome you all.

What is the dress code?

We do not have a dress code.  Just wear what you want to.  Jeans and T shirts are fine.

Pastor Ed usually wears casual and sometimes his clerical collar, yet more often, just casual.

We care so much more about what is happening in your heart, soul and minds

Do I have to give?

No.

If you want to support what we do with your time, your talent or your $, that’s fine.

We invite you to pitch in and help if you’d like to. It’s about community not obligation;  about relationship, not rules.

Do you meet midweek too?

Not right now.

We hope to start a midweek time of reading scripture together and praying.

You can connect with Pastor Ed anytime to talk, to pray.

Weddings, baptisms and funerals?

Yes.

We want to support your life-journey and Pastor Ed happily performs several weddings and sadly some funerals, each year.

If you would like to be baptized, or have your child baptized, please contact Pastor Ed too.

Ed can provide marriage preparation, and baptism preparation also.

I need support, can you help?

If you have experienced a bereavement loss, then Ed can provide grief support too.

In addition, he can connect you to excellent local resources, like support groups for grief, divorce-support, addiction, help finding shelter, help with mental health issues, and legal help.

We are all God’s children and compassion is a part of our heartbeat.

If you need food, clothing or financial help, we will do our best to connect you with agencies that we support who are specialists with these types of support.

We can’t meet every need, but we will sensitively help as we can, and we value your dignity and privacy.  We are better together.

Please text or call Pastor Ed at 617-903-7678 (yes he lives in NH, that’s just his cell-phone number).
